My 3rd hunter from my Metroid inspired Fan Fiction Samus Corps, Bedriz.
While Bedriz is easily the shortest of all the recruits in her unit, her determination and uplifting mentality brings her to the forefront in nearly every situation. Born the youngest of nine siblings on a war ravaged world, she was considered the “runt of the litter” most of her young life, which led her to often go out of her way to prove herself to others. It wasn’t long before her no nonsense reputation preceded her and local opportunities to prove her metal came looking for her. It was her grandmother Bee that installed this fighter spirit into Bedriz since she raised all nine children by herself and was well known locally as “the one you don’t cross”. Bee was a fierce protector of her family, yet Bedriz couldn’t name a sweeter and more nurturing soul than her grandmother.
The war eventually found their doorstep and tragically claimed the lives of most of her family, including her grandmother Bee. Promising to never stop fighting to protect her siblings, Bedriz watched helplessly as her Bee faded in her arms. Space pirates were to blame for this travesty, and one name rang clear across the galaxy when referencing such a threat. Samus Aran. Bedriz gathered her three remaining siblings and set out to find and train under the fabled hero, and swore to take the fight to monsters that took her family from her first hand.
After years of searching the galaxy, Bedriz seemed cursed to always be one step behind Samus. Luck finally came in the form of Bedriz successfully decrypting of a secret message being sent only to mercenaries and Galactic federation troops that the newly formed Samus Corps were taking on new recruits. A grin creeped across Bedriz’s face.
